Dixon Golf - Sean Fister
300 million golf balls are lost or discarded each year. With most of these balls made from harsh heavy-metal pollutants like tungsten, cobalt and lead, it's not just your score card that suffers from that hooked 5-iron on 16. To remedy the problem, Dixon Golf has pioneered the world's first high performance eco-friendly golf ball. Made from a unique rock salt core without heavy metals, these bad boys are green to the core—literally. Whether you are a scratch golfer or just happy to break 100, Dixon has a specific ball designed and tested by golf professionals to suit your particular game and swing type. Dixon balls provide every possible advantage (as allowed by USGA rules) to shave strokes off your handicap while always keeping you on the Green (rimshot please.) Dixon balls have been featured on Golf Digest's Hot List, and outperformed the Nike One Platinum, Callaway Tour IX and Titleist Pro V1 in independent testing by PGA TOUR Partners Club.
Process & Materials
Most golf balls contain harsh heavy-metal pollutants like tungsten, cobalt and lead and are built with chemical, synthetic compounds that take centuries to biodegrade. Dixon Golf balls are made with a rock-salt core that has been proven to function as well, if not better, than most leading golf ball brands. Additionally, the cover is derived from an elastodynamic polyurethane material that can easily be broken down organically yet remains retains it's durability and functionality on the course.
Dixon Golf Corporate Headquarters is located in a certified U.S. Green Building Council structure that was specifically designed to use 52% less energy. The building features environmentally conscious operating techniques that go hand-in-hand with Dixon Golf's commitment to the earth including solar panels, internal water recycling processes, and rainwater collection. A percentage of Dixon sales are devoted to replanting trees and the company also makes every effort to use materials such as SEC certified bond paper and recycled Kraft paper in its packaging.
